1. School Tours, Morning Tea and an Information Session presented by the Prinicipal
Parents are invited to attend our school tours of St. Joseph's Primary School. This is a chance for parents to see what our school has to offer and ask any questions they have. This year these tours will commence in the library and will be held on: Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th May from 9.30 am - 10.30 am.
2. Prep teachers visit the kindergatens to say Hello
Prep staff visit the kindregartens in term 3 each year to read stories, sing songs and talk to the children about St. Joseph's and starting school.
3. A School Experience
Parents/Carers and children are invited along to St. Joseph's school to spend an hour or two in the prep classroom for a 'School experience'. This involves participating in one of many activities such as:
• Class Prayer and Bluearth session
• School Assembly
• Physical Education lesson or Music lesson
• Literacy Centre Activities
• Numeracy Centre Activities
4. Enrolment Interviews
Each family and their child will have an interview with the Principal to discuss the needs of the child and some of the significant aspects of the school. A personalised tour of the school is included. Enrolment forms are to be submitted at this stage.
5. Acceptance of Enrolment
After each interview, a letter is sent home informing parents/carers of the schools acceptance or non-acceptance of their child's enrolment.
6. Transition Days
Transition days are held over four Fridays in October/November 2017, for children who are enrolled for 2018. This is an opportunity for your child to again experience school life at different times of the day. Parents are notified of the dates and times closer to the event.
